"Bob the Baker" Wins Mid-America Emmy Award
The Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded the 38th Annual Mid-America Emmy Awards. It was our first year entering the competition, and our fingers were crossed with three films out of the five nominated in the Interstitial category. When it was all said and done, “Bob the Baker,” the first film in our Spotlight Series, ended up winning the gold that night. We are honored to have had the chance to be in the company of so many of our talented peers.
Bob the Baker is the first film in our Spotlight Series. It's a celebration of St. Louis small businesses that exude authentic character and a passion for their craft. Bob and the Carondelet Bakery in St. Louis, has been baking bread for over 47 years. He started when he was 13. Bob is currently trying to sell his space to a new baker so he can retire.
