Typhoon Haiyan: A Look Back

Some people run away from disasters. Chris runs towards them.

When Typhoon Haiyan leveled the Philippines, Chris was on a plane within hours as part of Team Rubicon's worldwide disaster response efforts. As an EMT, experienced first responder, and certified search and rescue tech, Chris spent the next 9 days doing helicopter-based search and rescue, medical procedures and delivering food and supplies.

Chris shoots for various NGOs and international non-profits. Rain, heat, dirt, disease, sleeping in tents, and no shower. He calmly operates in apocalyptic conditions like the Philippines, just one of the many reasons we are proud to have him on the Once Films team.
