DOORWAYS Raises over $410K at RED 2020 Gala

DOORWAYS Annual RED Gala was a huge success this past Saturday, with 530 guests and fundraising totals exceeding $410,000. DOORWAYS is an interfaith non-profit organization providing housing and related supportive services to improve the quality of life and health outcomes for people affected by HIV/AIDS.

We’ve worked with DOORWAYS for the past 5 years, creating films for the annual RED Galas, each one highlighting personal stories of housing, health & hope. This year’s film centered around William, an HIV positive African American gay male, who has overcome and continues to battle the stigma that is his reality. Because of DOORWAYS, he now has a safe space to live, be healthy, and create through his passion for dancing. Watch William’s story below:

The net proceeds from this year’s RED Gala will directly support DOORWAYS’ mission and programs.

“A simple note is not enough to sufficiently thank you for your generosity and brilliance in telling William’s story for the RED gala. As you saw, the fundraiser was a complete success, raising over $400K! We have you to thank for such tremendous results. More importantly, you treated William and his story with dignity, which the audience responded to accordingly. We appreciate very much our partnership and the role Once plays in carrying out this vital mission. Much love always,” - Opal M. Jones, DOORWAYS President & CEO
